What’s Resonated With Me So Far (Layla Janoff)

What’s resonated the most with me so far are the topics of style, image, and art as seen in “Style Wars” and in the readings from Prof. Ewen’s book.  I find this subject particularly fascinating because it is filled with so many ambiguities and its nature is constantly changing.  The depiction of graffiti culture in “Style Wars” offered much insight into the process of how style defines who we are and is a way for people to both distinguish themselves from their peers as well as to form bonds based on mutual interests.  Additionally, it’s always interesting for me to hear what people’s opinions on this are in discussion, because it is indicative of their personal style/beliefs.
