Exquisite Corpse (Cadavre Exquis) is a poetry form and art developed in the 1920s among Surrealists. It is used as a visual but primarily written form. The concept was thought to have originally developed from a parlor game called Consequences, or formed by a similar means.
Call For Action
Drawing inspiration from the song “Words I Never Said ” by Lupe Fiasco and the student film by Anne Zhou on Occupy CUNY (we saw/heard in lab) readings, the film “Soldiers without Swords” create a poem surrounding the idea of “A Call For Action” (ie..freedom fighters.). So how this works is each student will contribute (post) just one line. The poem will build has each person creates add their line.Whoever is the first to post starts off the poem. There are roughly about 50 of you combining both sections of you so this will be a relatively lengthy poem.
*****Please post your line directly to this post by clicking on comment and adding your line. This way the poem will be easier to read in class. We will record the poem next lab and I will post the final piece in the next couple/few weeks.

Posts are due Sunday March 10, 2012 at 12:00pm. There are absolutely NOexceptions.
The horizon bares new times of combat, a class struggle demands to fade
Be yourself, everyone else is taken.
Together we stand , united we shall proceed but never fall apart for that is weakness
Forever shall we struggle to keep our voices heard, forever shall we stand against what is wrong and fight for what is right, until the last man falls.
May we always remember in our hearts, minds and souls that we are fighting for a better tomorrow.
We must all unite and fight for what we believe is right
May this poem renew our conviction when we forget why we fight.
Having one another’s backs is a must, we’ll stand together the very last night.
Our voices heard is something we must keep. Fighting together then fighting among eachother.
Out of the silence breaks through the tongue of knowledge to enlighten the minds of the ignorant.
For we must spread the message that represents a whole, to those who have lost faith, who have lost their soul.
To those who can’t find their voice, we must speak out against injustice thus trust is the only toll
With a set of iron fists and the need to declare your natural rights to the death we fight.
you cannot ignore the issues at hand, our rights and freedom we will demand
like our fore fathers, who never gave up the fight, we must stick together and fight for our rights
We must always remember we have a voice, one that does not falter, as long as we all speak as one
Only as one voice will we be strong enough to sound the battle cry for action, to bring to light the changes that must be made, for we are America
Need to know where you shout if you don’t want to be stray trout.
the sound of the pen is louder than ignorant words
After the passionate fire I find myself lost in the smoke searching for the clarity so we can reunite and be as one.
A more beautiful society is my Freedom song,
All the more reason to be where I belong.
Stand up and speak your mind, for you have the oppurtunity to make a great change even after your time.
Use your voice to speak the truth. for honesty lies in evidence and proof.
never let fear trap you in a box, or injustice will rise to the top.
And if they succeed, what was the reason for your plead.
As long love is what we’re fighting for, we’ve already conquered this war.
We speak the words as if we believe, yet only words are what we perceive.
